Varicose Vein Treatment Treatment
Method: “Sclerotherapy” This
is the injection of a chemical agent into a diseased vein
which produces an inflammatory reaction that leads to
fibrosis. Then there will be conversion
of the vein into fibrotic cord and will eventually be reabsorbed
by the body. It
is done at our center and it is an out-patient procedure. Treatment
intervals is once a week or more. It
may take up to 2-10 sessions before the varicosities disappears. It
usually takes 15 - 20 minutes for the procedure to be done
depending on the extent of area to be treated. After
the treatment you can go back to work or do your daily routine
activities.
