Term: “Rhinoplasty” The
length and shape of the nose is changed considerably by reconstructing
the bridge, tip and nostrils. It
is done with the use of silastic implant, gore-tex or cartilage. A
small opening is made inside the nose and scars are invisible
in most cases. It
is usually done under local anesthesia. It
is usually done at our center and it is an out-patient procedure.
It
usually takes 10-15 minutes for the procedure to be done. Recovery
period for this procedure is 3-5 days
