Liposuction The
procedure is performed to suction fat out of the area right
underneath the skin (subcutaneous layer). It
can be done in various parts of the body: face, areas under
the chin, arms, abdomen, thighs, knees & other
areas where needed A
small opening is made on the areas to be done and a cannula
is inserted in the small opening to suction
out the fats. It
is usually done under Intravenous Sedation Cardio
Pulmonary Clearance is needed prior to the procedure. Included
here are: Chest X-rays, Blood Tests
and Certain Diagnostic Exams It
is done at our center and it is an out-patient procedure but
we usually give an overnight hotel accommodation
to give comfort to the patient since there will be a follow-up
check the next day. It
depends upon the total areas to be done but It usually takes
1-2 hours for the procedure to be done. Recovery
period for this procedure is 7-10 days.
